Herb I got your version, passed my test 31 Dec 1980 (bloody hell I used to be fifty tufty lol and ride all year), I'm not too worried about the exact wording as on the photo card it says I'm entitled to ride Cat A which is motorcycles, and bear in mind this is a Beta website so not the finished article and it's the DVLA, and we a know what t**t's they've been over the last few years.

Just playing devils advocate here tho' Phil, I was told the plastic photo card is fairly useless as it's its accompanying paperwork that is the important bit

Have to say my photo card says cat A ,
The site said
You can drive motorbikes up to 25kW power output and power weight ratio up to 0.16kW/kg; motorbikes with sidecar and power weight ratio up to 0.16kW/kg; any size motorbike, with or without a sidecar if you've completed the large motorbike direct access scheme
But on their own definition of cat A is
Category A
You can drive:
motorbikes with a power output more than 35kW or a power to weight ratio more than 0.2kW/kg
motor tricycles with a power output more than 15kW
KEY WORDS more than
So I think we are safe although
I don't trust the DVLA

Shall look that out later Steve
Edit:- nothing of any information on the paper element Steve, so I can only surmise that all entitlements are on the photo card, and you was misled
