Cheers Steve. I seem to remember reading that people do actually buy them even though they are faulty(?). Can't imagine why. They look like they'd be really complicated to fix.

Although BMW say otherwise, these ABS units are rebuildable.
I did the one in my R1200C, which is the previous generation ABS.
The plunger had seized.
Quite straightforoward.

Cheers mate. I'm half inclined to pull it apart meself just out of idle curiosity as to how it works and why it, (if, indeed it did) failed .

I don't know if it can be read with the unit out.
It would have been handy to have had the fault code read.
If it's an electical problem, you're probably stuffed but if like mine, it's mechanical, then you're in with a chance.
