Joining in the boxerbeat

Post by doghouse »

Hi all,
Today i am the proud (3rd) owner of a 53 plate phoenix grey R1100S.
Im 42, married and live near East Grinstead in West Sussex.
I've been riding bikes since i was sixteen and the BM is something like my 30 th bike (8 years as a central london courier gets you through lots of kit), where does all the time go? In all those years I've only taken a year away from bikes when i ruptured a disc in my neck a few years ago. My previous bike was a ZRX 1100 which i've had for the last 7 years so im in for a bit of a culture shock.
Ive done 150 miles on it today and have a few observations and questions that i'll stick in the appropriate forum. i'll try and stick on a couple of photos too.
Anyone off to the BMF?
All problems can be fixed with the correct application of a big enough hammer.

You are more than welcome to this particular madhouse and don't worry about the quirky bits of the bike, it'll all start to make perfect sense after a few days, weeks, months, years....... :?

If your looking for specific info on a technical issue I suggest you use the search function first before posting those same old questions  but if you can't find what your after, ask away.

You might find it a bit quiet on here this weekend as a large number of the clan have buggered off to Wales (see Days out).

Cheers

Greg

Welcome

I'm sure you'll come to love your 'S' over time.

If you're used to 4 cylinder bikes it will take a little while for it to make sense but once you get over the pychological hurdles of indicators, vibrations etc you'll get on fine.

Noticed your picture of the bike in Boxerpix and looks cool with a fair few extras, but I bet you're blinging it more before long Image
