BMW 535i (has four wheels)

Post by bigblackfalco »

Bit off topic this, but I know you guys are full of useless info
Been offered a cheap 1989 535i with full BMW service history. In pretty good all round condition. Not sure of mileage, but prob not too high (under 100K).
Wasn't Really looking for a car like this, (was looking for another Citroen Xantia TD!). Anyone know any useful info on this car?
Cheers
Bailey.

I've got a 57 plate E60 5 series and love it to bits. If its anything like that you can't go wrong.

I know owners seem to think the old ones are best but you can check this forum out for all you need to know.

I've got an E39 530 diesel (with tuning box) it's stupid quick - regularly does 45+ mpg & never puts foot wrong, it's also my second BMW car & won't be my last., the last one did 265,000 miles & would easily have passed another 3 or 4 Mot's. The E34 is probably the best 5 ever produced - proper rock solid German metal - buy with 100% confidence. Regards from the chubby one - Neil.

Not directed at me I know, but even if you can afford the 10mpg can you afford the carbon credits

We've a one yr old 120d Sport - wouldn't buy another one if you gave it to me. The build quality is atrocious; it's due to go back to the dealer for the 4th time in 12 months very soon.

You really need to buy my RX-8 mate.

Please....

Pretty please...

Paul
You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.
