Plugs for the Handle Bar Clamps??

Like many of you on here, I have put the bars above the top Yoke. This leaves the "anti rotation" screw holes open and untidy.

Well I bought one of those Halford packs of plastic "Panel Screws"..... see pictures... finishes it off just right and for just over a quid... with plenty leftover.

Well done snavetrauts,ever since altering mine those screw holes have been bugging me,a trip down halfords is on my list for must do's tomorrow

I've just completed the securing of my bars after having moved them up on top of the yoke. I did so on the advice of my good friend/BMW tech. He's been wrenching Beemers for over 25 years now and is known as the Airhead Guru around these parts(Northeast US). He told me the bars should be secured. He's the MAN so I removed the top yoke, (you will need the special BMW slotted socket and allen wrench), had the bottom anti-rotation holes drilled and tapped all the way through the top of the yoke. Next reassembled the top yoke,(apply Loctite to or replace the balljoint securing nut). Finally, secured the bars adding a spacer and longer screws. Not a huge job to tackle but you'll need the BMW tool and the balljoint nut is a bear to remove with the factory thread lock.
