Beautiful R1100RT for sale

Post by slparry »

If anyone's looking for a bargain, low mileage bike we have a 1999 R1100RT with full luggage, audio system etc. and a mere 8220 miles

with the exception of a small scratch on the rh pannier it's like a new bike having lived in one of those vacuum bubble storage things

Very nice, but you need to get your valeter to pay a little attention to the front of the engine before putting it on the market.
It's filthy.
Not a difficult job, but one so many people don't bother with.
Here's how my RS was presented for sale when I bought it.
One year younger than the RT but three times the mileage.

No, they don't - its 'sold as seen', the mileage will sell it, and somebody can do the fettling at their leisure.

We've had a torrent of interest in this bike and I'm pleased to say it's been sold at the asking price, gentleman and his wife came in today and spent ages checking it over and couldn't find a fault with it.

I do hope they were given the full 10 year warranty package, with the home-visit weekly valet service included Steve. Plus a 3 week Carribean cruise. Its only fair, you're a BMW dealer.

Sorry....

Should you get any 1200RTs of a similar nature, let me know as I may be in the market soon. I'll be wanting the full package, obviously.... :D

A reputable dealer will always put a minimum three month warranty on a used bike.
The whole point of buying from a dealership is that you have some sort of peace of mind.
If not, then what's the point.
The dealer I bought my bike from had it advertised as sold as seen.
I had a lengthy discussion with them about it, and they conceded I was right that they should not have used these words, and I got a three month parts and labour warranty.
If a dealer doesn't have enough confidence in the product they are selling to offer just a few months cover on it, and use the words sold as seen, then you have to ask why.
