Loose light ...

Post by GerryB »

Has any one here had the pate that holds the head lamp bulb in place come loose ?

First time I rode "Al's old one" at night on friday and the dip shone further than main beam ...

Investigated and found the bulb holder fallen off and bulb was back, held on by the runner dust cap .

I'll have to pull the light off and see why .

Hi Gerry, can`t remember when I last rode it in the dark, but changed the dip beam bulb last year if I remember correctly so it could be poor maintenance

Not at all Al,

Dip is great .

Main beam was shite , so I had to investigate .

Lights all work fine, just that because the plate has become detached from the lens, its just a dull glow .

No way out , just going to have to remove the fittings and sort it out properly.
