R1200S sticky rear tyre
MOT in an hour. Looks like the rear tyre will make the examiner suck through his teeth and shake his head.
Just did a search and didnt find anything recent, so, anyone care to name their favourite sticky tyre? Not looking for distance so the PR4 etc. nominations can please wait for my upcoming R1100s thread!
Just something to get me through the summer, 3000 miles should do it!
TIA

Well, the bike passed with both tyres as advisories.
I asked what they had in stock for the rear to be told to buy a new one first!
So looks like i have to buy a pair. I bit the bullet and ordered pilot power 3s.
I think the present tyres are Bridgestone. Any comments on the PP3? I hope not as i have paid for them! Still interested in any opinions.
When i got the bike out from the garage i was pissed off to see that some t**t has scatched the rear seat cover. It could only have been when parked at work. No way an accident as it is on both sides. Too deep to polish out. Looks like they used a brick or similar.
I didnt see it last night as i finished late and it was dark.
Why is life such that you never catch these scroats in the act?
Off to work ....... Same parking place .......

Just bought a Pilot Road 4 GT for the rear of my R11S. Previously had a couple of Pilot Power 2CT on there, but they squared off really quickly. Nice and grippy though - they seemed to allow plenty of silliness even when cold.
Looking forward to trying the GT - I'm told it's substantially longer-lasting.

Though agree with others a matching pair would be a good idea
