In all my wisdom I have washed the headlight assembly today. On its own off the bike. Don't ask why, there was just a lot of sand. Somehow I got a drop or two of water into the unit and now the damn condensation is on the inside of the lens. How do I get rid of this? Can the lens be split from the assembly? I see that there is an o-ring to seal the joint.

Cheers ned. I'll give it a try tomorrow. Left the rubber caps off for the night.

Just ride with the lamp on. The heat from the bulb will dry it out.

Put uncooked rice in the unit and leave it somewhere warm. The rice absorbes the moisture

Well. I left the rubber caps off for the night. Next morning it is nice and dry but the damn water marks on the inside of the lens.
Top tips for this occurrence. Thank you very much.

can you put a rag on a thin stick (wont say screw driver just in case the rag comes off and scratches the glass) and wipe it through the lamp socket
