Take a chance on the old one - if it leaks once heated up........... then get a new one.

Just take it easy on the bike, and stop regularly during a 15 minute ride - to check for weeping.

Then plug me back in..........

See if that works .....

+1 They're designed for repeated removal of the cover for valve checks etc, so prob be ok if you do as Al suggests.

I remember many moons ago that my old R65 service kit came with cork rocker gaskets which would suggest as Boxerdog says they are a service item. However, most of the people I knew with BMs at the time never replaced them (never understood why as they were in the kit). But this also suggests that you could get away with not replacing them. I suppose do as Blackal says - if they don't leak you're OK, if they do, change them

Make sure to fetch the gasket for the spark plug hole out of the head and fit it to the rocker cover before installation.
