carb conversion? not a success.

Rode the converted bike to italy last week, then up to belgium for the classic endurance........if you get a chance you must go!
Bike performance good,
Fuel consumption poor,
Throttle not as easy to live with as the standard bike, on the alpine curves the throttle response was too eratic.
Started to pull the tart apart!
Well I tried...........I now have a lot of spares!

Well, nothing ventured I guess.. How bad was the fuel consumption ?

At least you had the guts to give it a go PP - shame it didn't really work out but as Nigel said, nothing ventured etc. :)
