Helium filled balloons attached to the handlebars?

You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.

Too much drag, mate. They'll knock 20+ mph off the top end, unless they're those long sausage types.
Then they'd twist into poodles and giraffes and you'd be surrounded by kids and pissed off clowns in short order....

You could get the tyres filled with helium, that would offset the extra weight of the steering damper

As in normal air. Thought some race teams use pure Nitrogen in their tyres as it doesn't expand as much but its expensive and it leaks more readily than normal aspiration so needs topping up.
Or did I just dream all that tosh

Start stripping bits off it!
Loose the toolkit/puncture kit, mirrors, rear footpegs and hangers.
Carbon fibre single seat unit with alloy sub frame, carbonfibre bodywork.
Fit mini indicators etc etc etc
Or lay off the lard fests for awhile!
