Nah its not upside down, the back of the belly pan is red so they have just carried on the lines! I think plain blue as per the first photo is the way to go!

It IS a bit cheesy, though
I didn't set out to buy blue lids for my bike - that was the colour that was for sale. They mark a lot easier than the plain black, though - and the touring ones would be worse.
(Spent so long picking emoticons, that Gripperod posted before me. Obviously a man of taste )
