I'm interested in one of your huggers for my R1200S, but I have a question about the mounting. I can't quite see from the photo where the fixing points are, but am I right in thinking that it fits to the disk mounting bolts? How big a job is it to fit? Wheel off?

Andrew,
I'd quite like to take you up on that offer. I'm around on Friday all day, so if there is a time that suits you then, drop me a PM. Much appreciated.

Your questions have mostly been answered - but just to clarify things.
The hugger mounts to three of the bevel drive screws - a now patented Ilmberger method of attachment. You use the three screws that are provided with the hugger. They are from the manufacturer that supplies the OEM screws to BMW, and are identical except that they are without the built-on washer that the OE ones have. That washer can be a bit tricky to remove! The hugger support mount takes the place of the washer.
We recommend that the wheel should come off to fit the hugger. You need to reposition the clip that holds the sensor wire which would be difficult without taking the wheel off and also you would not be able to deal with the screws at the right angle.
However I do know that plenty of people have managed to fit a very similar hugger to the K1200 S/R without taking the wheel off - but that does not involve repositioning the sensor wire.
