Very nice :thumbleft:
You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.

Great!

There're a couple of good groups on facebook and BSK Speedworks do some special stuff for them.

The pannier lids have a reputation for coming loose on the move apparently so put a bit of tape on them temporarily until you can secure them properly.

I think it looks err weird, but... i recognise it is collectable and therefore a sound purchase. Enjoy Steve :)

The side stand can double up as a workshop roll holder!! or a hoopla peg if one is getting bored of polishing it.

The k2 will be an extremely hard portfolio.

Absolutely gorgeous... but I would say that

I was 10 in 1989 and my parents had a subscription to Radio Times. That year, Radio Times had a double page K1 advert in the centre-fold. I un-picked the staples and that went straight on the bedroom wall as the motorbike I was going to own. My dad b*llocked me because he lost that evenings TV schedule on the reverse!

30 years later and I still look at them in awe.

Enjoy!

Well after a l-o-n-g trek down to Brighton from north Wales and back in a day the K1 is now in the garage.

Speedo isn't working :( …. have a spare one, so some diagnostics and fiddling required. I expected some on a 30 year old bike.

Put my sat nav on it tonight as a speedo and went for a trial ride out. Goes very well, the 16v engine is less grunty down the bottom end than my 8v was but there's a noticeable powerband at about 4.5rpm when it veritably launches itself … I'm suspecting it's been chipped to match its Ohlins suspension :)

Surprised at how good the brakes are too.

Looking forward to working on it, so far I've put a new battery as the old one was maxing out at 6v :D

Handles well, brand new tyres
