2019 WW

Post by slparry »

Just checking dates, and next year (2019) the weekend we have is actually Easter Weekend. I'm hesitant to go earlier as we can have the white stuff sometimes, and later slides into May Bank Holiday. So assuming we're ok with it I shall start making enquiries for quotes from hotels for Good Friday the 19th April 2019 to the Sunday. Then if we get reasonable quotes you can decide whether to book the extra nights of the Easter weekend or not?

What dya think guys?

Sounds good to me, once we have the quotes we can decide. They may be higher than usual because of Easter.

Thanks again for dong this Steve, it is appreciated.

Sounds good to me Steve.
Dates are ok too as the national championship flying event I organise is on the 27th and 28th next year.
Baskerville Hall or the Wild Pheasant or Criccieth?

there's also the weekend after.

I mistakenly sent out requests for tender to a few places before realising the Easter weekend was on that date. As places are responding I'm asking them to also quote for the following weekend too.

I thought about it after wards and thought as many travel distances to get here having the option of making it a long weekend may suit some.

at present I've sent request for tender to many others including the above, haven't asked Baskerville again only because of trying to visit differing venues.

I've also sent an email thanking Tim and the staff at Baskerville for a lovely stay this year, and put a positive report on Tripadvisor too. If anyone here gets chance please pop onto Tripadvisor and give them a positive feedback to counter some quite negative posts.

I didn't know you were a Pilot too. Me and Mrs Adam both have (lapsed) Instructor ratings. We now operate out of Chirk airfield.
