With my new-found 'flexibility' I've volunteered to marshal at Cassington. Sounds a blast - Easy Rider hits Ambridge; they're expecting up to 7,000 machines and 9,000 visitors for what is basically the village fete based round the village pub. To my surprise and gratification the RS now qualifies as Classic, having just passed its 25th birthday, so apparently I merit a spot on the village green. Drag is, I need to get polishing .
