Any one out near Hereford tomorrow ?

Post by GerryB »

Just thought I'd ride, leave Ross, head out around to Leominster, then down to Hay on Wye, around to Abergavenny , then to Steel Horse Cafe for a brunch .

Then back towards Hereford, Lockies for an ice cream , then home .

I was amazed how many bikes were out today , considering we were riding at 30 / 40 miles per hour , fog was so thick ...

Busy day

I was out driving, and lost count of how many bikes I saw. Then went to J&S near Oulton Park and the cafe was packed.
Sadly, came across an accident nearby which appeared to be the usual case of a car pulling out of a side road without looking properly. Didn't appear to be anyone injured but the Harley did not look too healthy.

So when is this 'Old enough to know better' supposed to kick in?

Well , it looked manky but dry this morning .

I headed out on my usual quiet route ,and after 30 miles or so ....

Wet :?

Had a bit of lunch at Steel Horse Cafe , then rain top on and headed home .

Of course , now at 5pm the bloody sun comes out .....

Bike is parked and a few Sedgewicks Old Brown Sherry down my throat .....

For our South African mates , yes , you can get "Obees" here , and the kids always give me a bottle for christmas ...

Brings back memories of enormous hang overs " Babalaas" from army and police days in my yoof ....

Hope tomorrow is a better day . :D
