A Thule roof box on a Ferrari would be practical - but you wouldn't do it...

There is a pic of mine on the Hawes 2013 rideout, I did not opt for the dustbin sized one, just a single helmet carrier job. Not easy peasy to fit, but it did fit and I have used it several times including a run to Portugal 2012 and a run to Andalucía 2013. very handy. a like from me but a big luggage carrier off the rear does look daft and would unsettle the bikes centre of gravity.
Fiat Panda.
Fiat Scudo (with speedblock, pipe carrier, reversing sensors, reversing camera, tow bar, some new rust and Fake Plumber logo)

started out with nothing, still have most of it left.

Took this on Sunday down at Lizard Point.

It was very overloaded, but I can't say it made the bike awful. It was noticeable that it was a bit more top heavy, but really not an issue.

Quick plug for the bumbags4bikers.co.uk seat pads too. They're bean bags that spread the weight more evenly. Great customer service, very reasonable price, and a definite improvement in comfort.

It actually doesn't look as bad as I thought it would when I get a good look at it - and it takes the eyes away from how skanky my BCR is looking at the moment!! Some serious farkling needed. Used the bike for work and loved it - I can understand Steve's dilemma - I'll be keeping the 11 and the 12 but think the Honda may have to go

Easy enough to take on and off too - the mounting plate can be removed in seconds, and I seem to recall Givi provide plastic end-caps for the mounting bars, so you can cap them off when you're not using the rack.

This is a picture of my old R1100S with the GIVI rack fitted. (Bike no longer in my possession).
