Oil & Filter

Post by IanB »

Sorry if this has been done to death but the search function didn't highlight any threads so here goes.

Oil filter - OEM BMW or is there a decent after market one people can recommend?

Also what oil are you all using these days?

Thanks !

Here you go.

Give them a call for your peace of mind. If you are going to do your own oil changes get the oil filter tool.

Oil you can get from Oilman. I use ACT Evo 4t 10w40 from Castrol. But then again I don't use the bike in winter and it goes to track days.

I use OE filters and a good quality 20/50 mineral oil and the proper filter removal tool.

Do this. It comes with a K&N filter with a nut on it so no tool that always manages to jam itself on the filter needed. There are deals with different oil if you don't fancy motul. 10/40 is fine. I just got the deal with castrol instead from M and P.
