Bled the clutch hydraulics on the BCR ... feels much nicer now, although a test ride will have to confirm it and it's not taxed at the mo' (and my neighbours son's a bobby now so I have to be good

)

Stunned at the price hydraulic fluids gone to, a litre of Halfords finest was £11 !!!!

I like the way the subframe hinges up James, did you avoid disconnecting the wiring to the rear end?

Hi Eyore, yes it hinges up fine and the only rear electrics you have to disconnect are the brake light junction on the rhs of the rear frame. Lots of cable ties to cut, and actually the entire rear brake comes off with the rhs peg and brake pedal, but nothing too drastic. Mr Haynes' finest plus an excellent thread on Advrider had me sorted. Gearbox is with Sir Sexton for a rebuild, then all I have to do is bung it back together again... While I'm waiting I've done some deep cleaning on the bits that otherwise you'd never get to. It just looks terrible; I had it like this on Friday, tired, and got a bit despondent, but I think it will be fine.

Now available with added "Ohlins"...............

Picked up my BoxerCup from Dorsetboy today (he got a new tyre fitted and an MOT, but the lazy bugger didn't wash and polish it!

)

Fitted the Ohlins to it (front and back) and noted that there was barely 5mm in height difference between standard shocks and these.

Took it for a test run, and was pleasantly surprised when the wheels didn't fall off..........

So - all ready for our hols next week down to Perigueux

You know the rear is height adjustable right? Apologies if that's a stupid question!

Yeah - I just need a couple of 24mm spanners to adjust (not at home just now) and set the sags etc.

Must get the definitive max free length measured too.

I ended up having to buy a new spanner which I used once for about 30 seconds in all. At least it's big and shiny!
