I once filled 21 litres into an 18L Honda tank, needless to say I didn't use that local garage again..

Maybe the fuel station has a dodgy meter reading ....

Paying for a litre & actually getting 0.9 of a litre ....

I will moniter the fuel carefully over the next few weeks .
does your bike have ABS?

Yes , I haven't tried any suicide braking in front , but the back definitely has .

Treid my best to lock the back wheel on a dirt road , & without using the front brake I was getting mighty close to a barn , with not much slowing .

When I looked at the ground , there were short little skids about a metre apart .

So , it appears to have a working abs on the rear for sure .

A few years back a few tanks were modded by a guy on here to have extra capacity, it could be one of those but not many about and I didn`t think they were compatible if you had abs.

The reason Steve asked whether your bike has ABS or not is because only non ABS bikes could have the custom larger tank fitted, so if you have ABS you most definitely have the std 18L tank, that includes 4lL reserve.

Nice to know mine is about right.
Light came on at 156miles after mixed cruising and a few red line blasts and I did 6 miles to the garage to fill up. Put in 14.24 litres on the sidestand, but didn't waste time getting it full to the brim.

Light comes on at 140-150 miles for (high speed) commuting with a tough of sillyness.
