Where can I get a used an R1200S 6" Wide Rear Wheel?

Got a technical query? Found another 0.02bhp? Ask/tell the world.

Where can I get a used an R1200S 6" Wide Rear Wheel?

Post by Copper »

Hi,

I'm going to get my wheels powder coated black.

I thought I might as well upgrade to the wider wheel at the same time.

Any ideas other than ebay?

Regards,

Jon

Thanks, I'll call them tomorrow.

Do they fit the same wheel to other BMW bikes?

Not sure - it may be the same one as on the K1200S though. The 12R/RT/ST use a 5.5" rim for their 180/55 tyre size (is the same as the standard R12S).

I think that the K1200 wheel fits.

The shaft is on the opposite site on the K12/13 series so I don't think they're interchangable

Ebay is also worth keeping an eye out, I got a 6" one for my K12GT (from a K12S) off ebay, although I've not fitted it yet :)

Hi
They are different. They will fit but the spokes will be in the wrong direction.

Got one from Motorworks coming, thanks Gromit.

OMG can of worms anybody :!: :!: :!:

Seriously there's not really a bad tyre out there but my choice is Michelin PR3, got just over 6k on a pair on my 12s and they hardly look worn, and the same on my wife's F800r.

the bike feels really stable, but with out loosing any turn is speed.

8) :D
