New BM showroom in Glasgow

Post by dave the german »

Just read about a new BMW showroom opening in Glasgow - Hope this doesn't affect Motorrad Central too much - always found them really pleasant and helpful when I've been in

Hmmmmm big dealerships like Parks don't give me much confidence....I've had poor (and heard of horror stories) about the BMW car service from Parks......if the bikes are the same then I don't see them lasting long!!

Need to wait and see what happens.........to be continued!!

that's the one Al - apparently there's an interim dealership in East Kilbride - I'm with you on the big dealerships - the buck is God

It's apparently being managed by Alan Dalziel, who was manager of Motorrad Central (east) for a while. A lot of people sing his praises (he came from Clarks, Dundee)

Al :)

I think it was his name mentioned to me when I was in Ducati Glasgow and he was supposed to be a decent guy

Alan Dalziel :?: I knew him when he worked for John Clarks, Dundee, must be at least 10-15 years ago. He must have improved since then, cause he was (IMO) a complete knob back then!
Always remember him on a group run, He'd fly up the straights, cut someone up, then 50 pence every corner

He also got the whole group into bother by passing the only polis car in the Highlands that day at warp factor whatever! They did make him eat humble pie when they caught up half an hour later, which was actually quite amusing
