Hi,I want to replace my Clear Indicator Lens for the Orange(amber) Ones,do i have to take the front side fairing off to take the Front Lens off ? anyone interested in swapping their Orange ones for my Clear on
es,in perfect condition,I just prefer the look of the orange ones, Bike is a R 1100 S (2003)
For the lens no. Use a small screwdriver like a flat watchmaker, you'll notice there is 2 little gaps at the bottom side of the lens where you can pry the lens out. The top bit is secured with spring loaded clips and you will feel the resistance. If you feel that you are going to damage something then best to take the fairing off and disconnect the wiring harness from the indicator before continuing. You'll see what I mean once its off.
Notice the 2 spring loaded clips in the colour photo.
Ahh, its the full monty, front and back with bulbs, havent looked at them for 5 years, the LH Front has some minor crack lines but hardly visible, up to you.

You can `pop` these off as mentioned earlier, but bear in mind that the plastic is 10 years old now and getting brittle, its better, if you can be bothered, to take the panels off and gently prise them out after, that way you get a better purchase on them and the metal lugs are less likey to snap the plastic there mounted on......believe me I know!...
