1200S Spark Plug Covers

Post by DaveH »

I'm after a set of spark plug covers for the 12S as I want to cut them down to fit into the grooves behind the CF head covers to tidy up the spark plug wiring.

It appears that they are a different part number to other 1200 models.

Does anyone know the physical difference between the 12S and other covers.?? :dontknow: :dontknow:

I suspect the bit after the 90 degree bend (ie back towards the engine block) is likely to be the same and that's the bit I'm after.

The spark plug covers on a 1200RT are a straight swap, so can't see why there should be a different part number!

I've got a right hand 'S' cover if you want it, free to a good home! It's got a couple of scuffs on it, but if your going to cut it down anyway....
You only need 2 tools, WD40 and Duct Tape!

If it dosen't move but it's supposed to, WD40.
If it moves but it's not supposed to, Duct Tape.

Simple!!!

Ended up cutting mine down anyway - new ones aren't that expensive and I can't see me selling the bike anytime soon.

Thanks for the offer though...
