Has anyone tried one of these?

And yes, I've read Buzzz90s posts. M/works want £35.00 for a gear position sensor! These things seem to be a more economical solution. They're all over ebay but I cant find anyone who has actualy fitted one.

Not sure why you or anyone else would want one i had one on my Suzuki kettle in 1978 it was great fun watching the number go up and down for about an hour then the novelty wore off and i found it more distracting than usefull
I did discover that i could crash in second gear!
A touch of pressure on the lever will tell you if you have a gear to go or not if there's resistance there's another gear if not there's not
Get the rocket sprockets then you can all but forget about changing gear
