Welcome to the site TTT, there are a few of us Essex folk here. Great site, and members, you're gonna enjoy it here, and the bike of course. Did you get the bike from Parkies in Colchester?

I'm 49, live in Essex, got 3 years NCB and I've got a 2 bike, (K75 & R1100S), TPF&T policy from BMW insurance. Annual mileage 5000, policy also includes Euro insurance cover.

Cost - £100 a year.

I am sure there will be some more guys along soon to help you out here, who are far more learned on this subject. But there are a hundreds of threads on the site about engine oil.

The opinions that I have read on the site is that 20w-50 is a minimum must have, and this is for 'UK weather ...

To all of you out there who have fitted aftermarket screens to your 1100S's, I am after your comments and guidance.

I am considering changing my standard screen for a taller aftermarket thingy type. There are ...

Already had new BT020's on mine when I got the bike last year. Only covered 3000 miles, with lots of tread still left. Seem OK but I have nothing to judge them against. How long do front/rears last?

The only problem I have is the vague front end which I believe is more of a bike-thing than a tyre ...

At the end of the day guys I tend to agree with Throttlemeister - you can't take it away from Schumi - he was the best in his field for many years, but he did make F1 a little boring, as he was so good, regardless of driving conditions!!

I, for one, rate him as one of the best F1 drivers of all ...

Thanks Lars.

You have had an expensive week my friend in more ways than one!

Whoever said that motorcycling was an inexpensive and safe hobby. Like many others I have always found it empties my wallet far too quickly and gets your pulse racing when you don't want it to, in a buttock clenching way ...
