Rear Wheel Problem??

I've noticed the last couple of times I've come back to my house that as I turn into the road at low speed, there is an odd feeling coming from the back of the bike.

It is quite difficult to describe but if you imagine a large stone stuck in the tread on the edge of the rear tyre. It's what I think that would sound and feel like.

I've not been aware of it at any other time but now I'm looking for it, there might just be a slight knocking type feeling, but it could just be my imagination. It is a left hand turn into my road and I've checked the tyre.

The bike has only done 1000 miles - any ideas?

Road surface is fine. I wondered about wheel bearings, but after 1000 miles?

I'll try to get it on a paddock stand tomorrow to see how the bearings feel.

Sorry to say but at 1,250 miles the final drive on my 2008 1200GS died.

Put the bike on a centre stand/paddock stand and grasp the rear wheel at top and bottom and feel for play also do it 9 & 3 oclock, my money says yer final drive is fecked.

Welcome to the quality club.
