Mirrors. Frame or handle bar

Post by Cobbster »

Hi all,
I'm looking at the boxer cup bike profiled in this months Ride magazine and thinking, ooh handle bar mounted mirrors, they look good. As an owner of a standard 03 twin spark 11S with the mirrors mounted on the frame, I find them at times a bit useless. I'm a large chap, which may not help, and I find myself looking at my elbows most of the time.
What I need to know is, are the handle bar mounted ones any better? If so I might try a pair to test out, and can you get after market ones or is it a trip to my main stealers.

Thanks for any input, Cobbster

From experience of both, I'd stick with the frame mounted mirrors every time. If you think they're bad, the 'bar-mounted ones are even worse.
