This Year's Trip. Camping or Pensions?

Im off agin for a couple of weeks, mid-July (18th onwards).
Planning to go down via Luxembourg, maybe Southern Germany, catch the very edge of Austria, Switzerland, Italy/France border, St Bernard, Maybe down to Monaco, gorges du verdon, ardeche, Millau etc and back up through France or maybe overnight train up to Dusseldorf
Question is, Camoing or Pensions / B and B?
Budget isnt horrificly tight but I dont want to take the piss too much
Any ideas?

Pensions,retireing,more like 55
Book you need Accorhotels.com,from the sublime to the daft,and what we've found the independents set up shop close by to pick trade as we'll,so if we haven't found something on spec,that normally gets us out of jail.

What about those cheap motel chains like Ibis, Formula 1, Campanile etc. Not special but cheap and easy and always somewhere to eat either in or close at hand. Bonus is you can keep an eye on the bikes as well.
Just my two pennyworth. Have a great trip.

Campanile is a separate chain,F1, ibis,Etap etc are all in the Accor hotels chain,in fact what is becoming popular is speacial secure compounds that have at least 3 hotels together,good example is the setup on the south side of Calais.

Reading the initial post, makes me realise that taking 10 days off, and trundling down to mid-France isn't everything..................
I also need to take a coupla weeks off and really "tour".
Now the planning.........................

Im going to sell the CBR. It's mad fast and its great to have but it's also dangerous for my licence.

I did a similar trip last year and stayed in a variety of hotels, most of which were less than £40/night. I was on my R1200S so camping wasn't really an option. PB, If you need any recommendations give me a shout

Want to do something different,go to the Grand St Bernhard late afternoon most of the people have gone,it's a bit spooky(and cold) stay in the hotel or what ever it's called,air is to thin to sleep,bike would run,had to bump it,and when we settled in for the night,asked about the weather they'd had 5cm of snow the night before and it was middle of summer,woke following morning,everywere frozen solid,20 minutes later it was 35 degrees down the Italian side,very strange.
