hi guys,

after a long search I finally found a 1974 R75/6...
bought and pick her up today. She is running sweet and full MOT'd&Taxed.
the bike is only 13 days younger than myself!

over the coming months i will start restoring her...

You know it's interesting looking at that, cuz when it was built, kawasaki had just brought their Z1 out haveing had 4 years of crazy two strokes,Suzuki had their 3 cylinder 750 water pumper, and i'd just paid £999 for a brand CB750 as my arse was still in bit's from rideing a 750 kawasaki stroker to the SoF, and i couldn't afford the other 250 quid for the Z1,and BM were still plodding along churning flat twins out!!,i like the look of e'm now,in 74 i wouldn't have been seen dead with 10 yards of one.

it was advertised on the local Freeads...last owner for 14 years....nice old fellow, does not use it anymore...
wanted: £1250

i paid just £1050...

Came prepared as i had the van& the cash waiting!

there are few bits which need doing, but its generally in good condition.
The engine sounds like a peach! total milage it just over 60k...not bad for 34yrs.

anyway, will give her proper look over the next few days and post some more pics...
thx Lars

A '750 Stroker to the Sof', ..... 'Wow' ... at 25mpg, ... if you'd been sitting on your wallet your arse would have been fine Winger, .. or was that before Sheikh Yamanni gave us the £1 Gallon?

Love the R75, ... but I have to say, .. I wasn't a 'fan' back in 1974

Look forward to seeing it out and about on the roads over the next few years

Looks very nice.
Don't go over the top with the restoration, just get it well sorted.
Bikes like that look great showing the patina of the years.
Here is one of the coolest bikes I ever saw, cosmetically not good, but on close inspection everything was sorted, new cables fresh gaskets etc:
