Just so you know, my R12S does exactly (satnav-verified) 152 on the rev limiter in top.
Germany is great... The R12S screen isn't.

well done....
i only got my R1100s to 133mph (garmin quest verified) when i was back home in the fatherland on an autobahn near leipzig, but it was a very windy day and i could not get her completely flat out....
i reckon she may have made another 5mph...
but your 152 is pretty impressive...

Well - last summer (2006) my wife and I were riding my Honga CBR600 on a "private" strectch of road that looked suspiciously similar to the M1 motoway between junctions 29 + 30 going north.... we were being "annoyed" by a BMW M3, so I tapped the wifes' leg (you know the one - we're off honey...) & there we were arse on fire the M3 getting smaller & smaller in the mirror, I look down at the speedo & see 160mph....yipee - then it happened. I see my wifes legs up around my ears & the bike goes into the BIGGEST tank slapper you've ever seen, somehow we stay on the bike and take the gentle left hander heading towards junction 30 at aroung 100mph - the reason for all this........ pepare yourself you're gonna love it........
We get home some 5 mins later, I empty the turtle from my pants & ask "what the F__K happened there? she says: & I quote: "I just stood up to look how fast we were going, & the wind just took me & sat me on arse" To say I was gobsmacked is a bit of an understatement, so now I tierap here to the bike....

Excellent
We used to lie down down flat on the tank suddenly when flat out, kept your mate on the back on their toes.

Thanks - couldn't have put it better myself.
However the good news is: she's never done it again since & doesn't plan on doing either, we stayed on the bike & both lived to tell the tale - but I guess best of all .................... The M3 never caught us

& then in January this year I took delivery of my 11s & became Mr Sensible - ish.
Regards Neil.

I managed 135 on my BCR, flat road, sat-nav verified........... with the touring panniers on it!
Seemed to be a bit left in it
(had a lot more out the R-1, and it doesn't take too long to get their either

)
All on private roads, you understand

before i saw the light and got the 1100s i had a new gsxr 1000 in 2004 which i had a full akropovic system fitted to.had the full re mapping done and had it de ristricted, and k&n air filter fitted.on a french motorway had it to 199mph and well into the red zone on the tacho.fantastic bike but couldn't ride it with the wife on the back cos the front wheel was never on the floor.the bike had to go in order to keep my licence.what an animal

Yeh - yeh, yeh - me neither. Can't wait however 'till next year to see how fast I make the 11s go flat out (on a private road again of course).
Regards from the chubby one.
