Painting Wheels

I have heard that the rear R1100S wheel is pretty fragile, and that few stay true and round.

Bearing this in mind, I am a little reluctant to have my wheels powder-coated. My local car paint place will 2-pack them though.

Is that going to be OK? I've only ever powder-coated wheels before:

Hi
2 pack will be the better choice.

Painted or powder coated won't make a jot of difference it's a matter of choice, but which ever you choose have the wheel checked first, haveing had a spare wheel PC,then pottered off to my tyre place that i use, caused great amusement when having fitted the tyre(we know each other very well),then put it on the balancer only to find the wheel was a fifty pence piece,i am reminded of it from time to time!!!

Mine were painted black with 2-pack. £150.

If you powder coat the front wheel bearings will have to be removed.

Well, today the rear's gone in for paint. They're going to use a toughened 2-pack. Flat black :) Not totally matt, but not quite satin, apparently.

Anyone in the beds/ cambs area lend me a paddock stand so I can get the front painted at the same time?
