Hi all, i have a boxercup with no centre stand, so my question is... will it be a problem with the bike just on its side stand over the winter? Oil?
(wont be used much)
Thanks Aaron. :D

Hi Aaron, try using a block of wood under the sidestand to get it near vertical. keep your tyre pressures up and put the battery on an optimate charger, and roberts's your mother's brother!

Oxford do a solariser which they say will do the same job as an optimate, I have one but it does not seem to be quite up to job (could be because of the alarm?)and maybe my battery is past it. there are other solar chargers on the market and I will be looking to get a new more powerful one myself after mr winger gets me a new odyssey battery.

The way to look after a battery is just like humans......little and often!

I am a fan of solar chargers, had one on the dashboard of the car for years now. Maplin's have just started a new line of sale items including a trickle solar charger for £9.99. This is about a third of the cost of that unit when it first appeared five years ago. It may not give enough juice to keep the battery perfect, but it will go a way to help.
