Fairing vinyl bubbling

On the left hand fairing panel of my BCR right over the exhaust header the vinyl sticker on the fairing is heat damaged and bubbled, it gets extremely hot if started on the stand for any more than a minute or so.

Is this normal or do i need to look at the fairing brackets etc in case they have moved? i had them off last week for the service and all appeared fine

I am going to balance the throttle bodies next (or check them anyway) so will have to rig up a heat shield if this is quite normal

would appreciate your advice :?:

Sounds strange to me, never had any such problems. Is the heat shield around the exhaust still in tact on that side?

i don't have a heat shield? its where the pipe leaves the cylinder, on the left hand side it seems a lot closer than on the right.

i'll have to look at the fairing mounts again

i'll have to check the sealing gasket, no signs of blowing but i'll take it apart and make sure its seated properly

Cheers

mine bubbled just where you say, the first time I ever balanced the throttles. The fairing is too close to the header on that side (the LH cylinder is further forward than the RH.) I think the fairings were slightly different on later models. These things are made out of the parts bin you know.
