Tyre Match or Mismatch

I have just bought IanC's spare larger rear wheel to fit on my standard R1100S. My bike has Battleaxe B 010's fitted whereas the new larger wheel has a B 020 fitted.
Does anyone have any experience of whether a front 010 and a rear 020 are compatible?
Thanks

It might not be advised by the manufacturer's, more due to profile differences than compound differences, but it should be fine. I've known many people run that mixture (albeit on other bikes) without adverse effects.
I used to do similar things with Avons on the 1200 Bandit - stickier front than rear.
If anything you'd probably notice the change in size more than the profile.

Hi Taz, I have run that combo on my S, they worked really well together despite the mix not being recommended by Bridgstone.

Taz - I run 010 front & 020 rear most of the time with no problems, it's personal preference.

Thank you to everyone for the replies. I shall ride on with my 10/20 mix in confidence.

014/020 will do as well.
