Boxerless ....

but not for long I hope.

Sold the old and faithfull S just an hour ago. To a copper! I'guess it will never reach illegal speeds again! Nice guy though, so it's in good hands.

Got €2750,- meaning a €11.350 write off over 135.000 km's / 8 years. I think that's acceptable. €2750,- is also what the dealer offered ...

So one's gone, one to go ... the Multistrada. Next bike will be a R1200S. Rumour is that BWM does not deliver new ones to the Dutch market ... not until the dealers get rid of their current stock. What about custom specific options? ... Dealers are told to swap parts / assemble at customers request ... but no production on custom order for now. I guess sales are a bit disappointing?

I'm not in the market for a new one at the moment but of the demo's I had a spin on I think I think I found the 1200 R better than the S....
Have you decided on the colour yet?

What colour? Must be black ... still the fastest colour isn't it?

There's a black R1200S with the options I want on stock ... could be delivered in a day. Still have to find out where to get the best deal.

£7650 - bit steep, especially if you can get a 1200S for E15,000, or £9000 in real money.

According to www.xe.com that works out at £8551. Gulp

That's a very nice R1100S Ron!

You know I did consider to buy something like that: a need and tricked R1100S, cos I think its a better (allround) bike then the new standard (or even Ohlins equipped) R1200S.

What do you think Ron?

Well no, of course it won't!

Nice to sell your bike and have the two wheeled world as your lobster though! Hope you get a good one. Andy

...well I still think my old BCR looks fab ; but it is way overpriced...
...on the other hand ; it is one mighty fine machine...(hand made Lasers, Lennies Induct, chip, wavies, 19.000 kilometers on the clock, etc.etc.etc.)

...but...that bike is four years 'old' now ; for a few Euros more you can have a R12S, or R12RT, or...you name it...

...consider this ; I sold the BCR for 9.800 Euros. The guy who bought it sold it 7 or 8 days later. And those people who bought it from him tried to sell it for 13.750, and they are still trying to sell it...

...wonder if the panniers are still there...

...I wouldn't mind buying my BCR back (not for that money of course) ; but Jeannet said 'no' last Saturday evening...

...I shouldn't have sold it...; but I thought it was too much of the same, but I know now, it isn't...
