To my surprise I found that there is no alarm lights pushbutton (all indicators flashing simultanious) on the R1200S. Why not? What was BMW thinking? Sport riders never ever enter a traffic jam? Never ever get stranded along the highway in the dark?
Did they wanted to save money and leave out one pushbutton? I assume that the electronic is capable (the indicator do light up when enabling/disabling the alarm).
Is it possible to install a pushbutton? Anyone done that? Is the wiring in place?
On the GS you activate the hazard warning lights (all indicators going) by pressing both left and right indicator switches at the same time. Does this work on the S?

Surely the ABS can only be activated/deactivated as you turn on the ignition?
So - chances of inadvertant operation should be nil?
At least - that's the thinking on the GS

Maybe it's got to do with the wiring. If you limit the number of switches to a certain maximum; you can always do with the same number of wires. Helps to standardise production.
Now put a lock on this thread, because it's becoming a bit a 'Pelican' kind of thing ....
