IMPORTANT.....THIS COULD AFFECT YOUR PERSONAL FREEDOM!

Post by bigblackfalco »

Just incase anyone has missed out on this one being forwarded at the moment:::

Subject: Please read this is very important to all motorists.

Hello Folks, I am trying to get this message across to as many people as possible.

You may not be a driver but one day your children might be!!
Theres a new tax proposal for cars etc thats being put forward and not enough know about it to sign the petition to stop it before the bill is past!!!

Please read this is very important to all motorists.

Sarah Kennedy was on about this proposed car tax scheme on the radio,

apparently there is only until the end of the month left to register your objection to the 'Pay as you go' road tax.

The petition is on the 10 Downing St website but they didn't tell anybody
about it. Therefore at the time of Sarah's comments only 250,000 people had signed it so far and 750,000 signatures are required to stop them
introducing it. This is legit... 10 Downing Street's website. Once you've
given your details (you don't have to give your full address, just house
number and postcode will do), they will send you an e-mail with a link in
it. Once you click on that link, you'll have signed the petition. Democracy
in action?

The government's proposal to introduce road pricing will mean you having to purchase a tracking device for your car and paying a monthly bill to
use it.
The tracking device will cost about £200 and in a recent study by the BBC,
the lowest monthly bill was £28 for a rural florist and £194 for a delivery
driver (per month!). A non working mother who used the car to take the kids to school paid £86 in one month. On top of this massive increase in tax, you will be tracked. Somebody will know where you are at all times. They will also know how fast you have been going, so even if you accidentally creep over a speed limit in time you can probably expect a Notice of Intended Prosecution with your monthly bill.
If you care about our freedom, please sign the petition on No 10's new website (link below) and pass this on to as many people as possible.

Shocking and disgraceful. You admit to choosing to listen to Sarah Kennedy in the morning?

I've just had a look and the count is up to 940,976 signatures now.

Paul
You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.

Well I listen to Radio 2, but got to admit that Sarah Kennedy is my least favourite presenter, now Johnathan Ross and of course Steve Wright are excellent.

Must be something that happens when you are over 40.

Nice to have someone organised enough to put the petition link on this forum. Much appreciated. All who sign it (including me) will be monitored and listed as potential subversives.

Agreed...SK gets one my t*ts first thing in the morning (aye up...should really rephrase that) and I can't wait for half 7 when Sir Terence starts his programme.

All SK talks about is her friggin' cats and 'dearly beloved'.

Transport for London keep records of all movements of vehicles going in and out of the congestion charging zone. At the moment they can't deal with bikes because the system is currently only designed to deal with front facing number plates, but they are working on that.

There are no congestion charges at weekends and bank holidays, yet the system is not switched off during any of those times and ALL the records of vehicle movements are kept on their database for at least 2 years. Their database is linked with DVLA , Equifax and other financial databases.

They can automatically take take their monthly 'fines' using, amongst other methods, the credit/debit card details that they have stored from people who have paid for their road tax online.

Paranoid? Who me? You betcha

PS I like SK

I remember listening to SK a few years ago, very early in the morning. She said ''Morning truckers'' .... suitable pause ..... '' I said Truckers!''.
Well it cracked me up allright!
The motorist is seen as a soft target for squeezing more and more money as the government coffers run dry. Gawd knows what it'll be like in 10 years time.
