popping back and exhaust emissions queery

Hi there
I have an 03 1100s with a Y piece and standard exhaust/ lambda etc. It runs sweetly but seems to pop back a lot on over-run.
Have measured the emissions on a 4 gas analyser and they are;
high for Oxygen (7%)
low for CO2 (9%)
CO is fine (0.3%)
HC is fine (45ppm)
I cant find any air leaks in the inlet or exhaust and reckon that the exhaust gas flow thru the tail pipes at idle is too low to give a sensible reading. Has anyone else run a similar set up on a 4 gas analyser or have any comments ?
Cheers folks
Colin

This is one of those 'they all do that'. Try an 1100GS/R or 1150GS/R - they're even worse.

Although the odd pop/bang on the overrun can be fun - I believe Ducati owners call this 'character' or something? ;)

'A 4 gas Analyser', .. which end of one of those do you hit the hammer?
'Poppings' fine by me,... and the odd 'flame-out-back' makes me giggle when you watch for the warm flash in your mirrors down dark country lanes.

Gromit- yeah I know the Ducati boys call it character- they used to say the same about the walk home !!
BBandit-its what I do (and rather nerdy I admit) but for any injected engine those readings are way off the mark- i was worried about the environment, about global warming about scaring horses- oh xxxx it Ill give it agood thrape tomorrow and see what happens
