Does anyone know what the 'Alternative Final Drive' option available on the 1200S is It's listed as an option but I've not been able to find any information on it.
The dealer 'thought' it gave longer gearing, ie higher top speed but less acceleration, couldn't see the point of that!
How did the Hawes run go this weekend? I'm envious . Although a run up Glen Devon, Glen Eagles, Crieff, Loch Earn and Glen Ogle today helped to restore balance .
So they all have it! and BMW list it as an option and charge an 'additional' £175 for it. Good idea. There's also Delivery at £293.75 and then additional delivery at £202 listed. You've got to admire these guys.

Glad you approve of route, it was very good yesterday, noticably less traffic than early in year. Full route is on from Glen Ogle down Loch Tay, Kenmore, Aberfeldy and then over the hill to Gilmerton and Perth. Could be one for the Scottish Tour!

...you forgot the first service after 600 miles...
...BTW ; what do you mean with additional delivery ??
...we pay 'only' one Delivery ; and that is 320,-- Euros, and a few Euros for a license plate etc.

Don't know what the 'additional delivery' is. Only noticed it later. It is one of the questions I will ask if we ever get to the serious discussion stage. Maybe Scotland is so far for them to come we have to pay more, seems fair .
