Anyone had the upgrade kit fitted on the n/side cylinder and if so does it make any difference to the chain flailing about?

I'm aware of what the Yanks are doing but they do tend to exagerate so I was looking for a real world testimonial :)

I read some time back of an Australian tuner who degreed in the cams with slotted sprockets and gained another couple of horses. Jim Cray didnt reckon it was worth the work though. I did this on my Suzuki GS1000, it really smoothed out the engine, so I possibly gained a little power as the system was working in harmony with designed timing. I remember one cam was about eight degrees off ideal.
