Just forked out for some new rubber for the S at Ally Pally. I want to fit some Ariete Alloy Tyre Valves from M & P. They list 2 types, 8.3mm & 11mm, what is this measurement refering to? Not a lot of info on M & P's site regarding these. Have any of you guys fitted these to your rims? And if so, are they any good?

The sizes refer to the hole in the rim that the valve holding body bolts into. Alloy body, gasket and nut. Very pretty. Different anodised colours. For life. Much better than a bit of old interference fit rubber. Apparently. IMPORTANT BIT check the replacement valve body does not touch the brake calliper. This is usually discovered after bringing the loose wheel home six miles from fitting the tyre.
And no, I dont know what size rim hole the boxer has.

Hi mate, Thanks for the info. I would imagine it's the 11mm ones that I need. I can see what you mean about the valves making contact with the caliper on the front wheel, I had seen this mentioned on the VFR webring as well (I know.....I shouldn't be looking there, but VFR owners are grade A anoraks) . Don't know what way to go now.
I bagged myself a set of Conti Road Attacks from the show for £145.00 from Moto-Care in Harold Wood, Essex. A well happy price
