2004 R1100s delivered from bike shop yesterday. The exhaust looks different to the one I had years ago. It's stamped remus and does not have the big oblong collector box/ cat fitted. Is this the standard exhaust system for the model year or an aftermarket add on ?. If it is aftermarket would it have been chipped at the same time. How easy is it for me to check ?

Hi Paul, sounds like aftermarket. If its OEM it should have the BMW part number on it somewhere (as do nearly all OEM parts). Cross check to the relevant fiche at RealOEM.com?

No idea on chipping, sorry - well outside my pay grade
