Does anybody know which is the best tool for removing G'Box drain plug. I guess it's a 14mm Hex,.. but is there a tool that will do this without having to remove the downpipe?

Yeah buy a 14mm hex key and cut about 20mm off one end and use a ring spanner or open ended spanner on it.

I bought a 14mm hex with a 3/8 inch drive, whole thing about an inch long. I then bent a 3/8 extension bar and used this to remove the drain plugs on both bikes no problem.

I ended up buying a 14mm 'Drain Plug Remover' for £3, and paid local farrier £1 to grind off the 'Socket' part. Worked a treat, ... except now I can't remember where I left the bloody thing.
