How does the indicator pod come off the fairing?

There's a couple of screws and a few little clamps which, for want of a better word, are wedged onto plastic tabs on the indicator pod. You'll need to carefully prise them off, ideally with two small screwdrivers and try not to break the tabs (which is very easy!) To be fair once it's on the bike the tabs don't make much of a difference as there's screws that go through the indicator pod and hold them in place so it's not like they'll flap about if the tabs are broken.

Be careful tightening screws - first time I replaced one the chap from Motorworks advised "breathe on the screws" to tighten them

You're welcome! If you get stuck at all just let me know, I've got both my sets of fairings dismantled at the moment so can easily take some pictures to help.

Good idea. I'm doing quite a bit of work on it at the moment anyway (pretty much stripping everything in front of the engine) for a refurb and paint so I might be able to do a few of them.

I'll get you some pictures at the weekend hopefully - I'm afraid I have twins a month old so my bike time is limited!
