.... sorry ... still on the 125 ... but surely front brakes are much of a muchness ?????
The nail varnish suggestion worked a treat ...so my faith is still with you lot
so .. front brake is sticking ????... which, being a novice too, makes hill starts at lights ( after braking ) something of a pantomime for the other motorists. :( bloody bar staff !!!!!!!
Save taking bike back to a mechanic (yet again) and squirting everything in sight with WD40 (this mornings attempt) any other suggestions ?
If it involves undoing bolts etc please be detailed with instructions !! I'm no mechanic but not (totally) stupid either, and have done re-wiring at home with a bit of guidance !
In your capable hands again

More clues required. What's sticking exactly?

problem solved. New brake now fitted by mechanic, so I had the afternoon off yesterday to go for a tootle around. Superb day, just me the bike sunshine and nice roads. Never thought id say it, but it beat shopping anyday

The only cloud to my silver lining is that it is still oiling up spark plugs. It doesnt stop me riding but means that every 40/50 miles I need a quick maintenance stop which can be inconvenient since I dont get much warning that im about to cut out.

The mechanic has turned the oil mix down "as much as he dare", hotter spark plugs didnt work, so im told again to rev. the :bootyshake: off it. You are probably as sick of me asking as I am of changing spark plugs ... but are there any other peeps out there with any other suggestions ?
