It's impossible to predict what's going to become sought after.
Someone once said to me that anything "oddball", produced by a mainstream manufacturer, and sold in limited numbers, is destined to be a sought after classic.

As investments go, it's not the stuff of dreams.
By my calculations, it appreciated about 10,000 dollars (Aus) in 18 years.
That's a return of just over £300 a year.
I'm pretty sure that if you invested the original 2008 asking price, you'd get a better return on an ISA, although admittedly, the bike is a more fun way of getting a return
