last weekend and this weekend have seen a lot of two wheeled activity passing through Jed on the A68. In particular I chatted with some fellas in the Glebe car park in front of our Abbey. They were suffering from Cabin Fever and had decided to cut loose. TBQH I thought they were bonkers. The a68 is one big bloody mess at either side of the border and generally is until after the easter period. I will not venture out until the ruts and holes are repaired.

Oh, and the stone walls

Don't come to Essex then - potholes generally don't get sorted until August

Report them to

www.fixmystreet.com

I've always found that once they're reported and recorded the councils fix them pretty quickly because they're then recorded if anyone is injured or have their vehicles damaged.

Actually, I got a very pleasant surprise today, I vanned my Guzzi down to Loughboro for a top end upgrade and the A68 has been done on the English side. Well done Northumberland Council.

The Scottish side is still a hazard for two wheels afraid to say.

My feelings are that major investment for the future of commerce is needed on our roads, millions of hours are wasted with peoples sat on their fat arses in traffic queues. Surely at a stroke we can employ lots of young men and fit older men who are wasted on checkouts at the supermarkets?

The same applies to all infrastructure our Broadband highway is full of pot holes and queues too.

Am dismayed that the wrong peoples in Brussels were targeted today :(

So much wrong with things. Every average workaday folk are saying the same things but the assholes in Brussels, Westminster and Holyrood are insulating themselves from reality.

Am even more pissed off that Guzzi used parts in an engine that are as much use as a chocolate teapot. The world is again me.

Rant over.

I would say that having just got back from California - their road-sides are not covered in Maccy D bags and other crap because their community service types are sent out to clean up the rubbish (in bright orange overalls so everybody knows why they are there). Instead of having low grade prisoners sitting on their arses in comfortable cells get them out (tagged) into the countryside and get them to clean up the mess at the sides of our roads - make them earn their bed breakfast- It may also stop them from chucking this crap out of their cars when they get released. - oooo another rant over
